SOFTWARE PACKAGE FOR ANALYTICAL SUPPORT OF CROP BREEDING

Summary. The purpose of the research was to develop the software for optimization of breeding process during development of varieties possessing the required combination of economically important features. We present a computer program package for analytic support at various stages of crop breeding process. The program “Diallel analysis of crops” was designed to evaluate the combining ability of parental forms. It uses Grifing and Hayman methods to determine the ability of breeding material to transfer a transgressive segregation in the offspring of diallel hybrids F1, as well as in breeding for heterosis and at the development of synthetic varieties. The program “Analysis of ecological plasticity of crops” was designed to calculate the parameters of stability of varieties and lines under different environmental conditions. It allows to determine the indicators of intensity and stability of stability index, as well as to classify the studied forms according to responses to growing conditions. The program “Field experiments. Registration and evaluation of breeding material of crops” was designed for data storage of field experiments and to integrate breeding estimation of samples by scalar ranking method. The resulted index of breeding values is calculated as additive convolution of multidimensional information using weight expert coefficients. The integral breeding evaluation coefficient quantitatively reflects the relative importance of the object in the given sampling. The work of the program set was shown on the example of breeding of spring triticale varieties. The use of the software package will make it possible to increase the accuracy of selection of parental pairs, concretize the direction of breeding process, differentiate the studied varieties according to response to growing conditions, and estimate the breeding values coefficient of studied samples on the range of features.
