Summary. Researches were conducted on agricultural landscapes of Ob tableland in Altai Krai. The soils in forest-steppe of Ob region have been exploited for 60…100 years. The soil cover of the territory (4400 ha in Dokuchaev V.V. experimental production farm) is mainly ordinary, leached and podzolized black soils. Proportion of arable land is 85 %. The ratio “arable land : meadow : forest” is 1 : 0.2 : 0.01. Agricultural exploitation of land during 40 years led to insignificant changes in fertility of plowed black soils. The main criteria for evaluation of black soil transformation involved in agricultural use were morphological characteristics, humus content, acidity, agro physical characteristics. The process of convergence of properties of arable horizons is characteristic for Altai black soils. The top humus horizon Ap is equal in the depth in all soils of the agro landscape (in the range of 25…30 cm) and often coincides with the depth of humus-accumulative horizon A, averaging 29.5 cm. The reason for the formation of anthropogenic horizon Ap in the profile of black soils is the plowing of horizons AB or B. The average content of humus in studied arable soil horizons is 4.76 %. The value of this index, as well the depth of humus horizons, kept almost at the same level for 40 years (1968-2008). The tendency to an increase in acidity of soil solution is observed; the content of water-stable aggregates reduced; the pulverization of soils increased.

Keywords: black soils, agro landscape, convergence, morphological characteristics, arable horizon, humus, agro-physical properties.
