Summary. To date, the urgency of efficient exploitation of mobile machines under conditions of the low temperatures remains to the full. Thermal regime of operation of units and systems influences directly the efficiency of their work. For its optimization it is necessary primarily to have valid information about the oil temperature of the transmission units. The most losses of the effective power of modern mobile machines fall on them. The aim of this study was to determine the thermal regime of transmission units and suspension components of a vehicle under winter conditions. On the truck KAMAZ-55111 we installed the equipment, including temperature sensors (DTS 044  50 M) to measure the oil temperature in the transmission, drive axle gear boxes, shock absorbers, as well as in the environment. For automatic temperature recording we used a personal computer (PC) and software to connect the PC with the devices for control and registration of the temperature. The ambient temperature affects significantly the thermal regime of the work of units under investigation. It is necessary to use additional sources of heat to optimize the thermal regime of their work. At an ambient temperature of 241 K (minus 32 deg C) and vehicle speed 60 km/h, the steady-state oil temperature in transmission and drive axle gear boxes was 295 K (22 deg C) and 268 K (minus 5 deg C), respectively. Increase in the vehicle speed from 20 to 60 km/h leads to an increase in the steady-state temperature of the absorber fluid by 4...5 K or up to 246, 260 and 268 K (minus 27, minus 13 and minus 5 deg C) with ambient temperature 241, 255 and 263 K, respectively.

Keywords: transmission, drive axle gear boxes, shock absorbers, winter conditions, temperature regime of work.
