Summary. The challenges of post-industrial stage of society development dictate the high quality specifications of human assets, which depends both on the level of economic development of the country as a whole and on the condition of the rural economy. The article presents the justification of the methodical approach to the determination of the indicator of polyfactorial terms of human capital development in rural areas. It reflects the vector of long-term development of human assets under the influence of interconnected system of social, economic, demographic, environmental and institutional factors that are manifested at different levels. We offer to use rating method of analysis, based on comparative ranking evaluations using specific indicators that reflect the elements and factors of human assets development, are statistically available and contain a minimum of subjective interpretation. Using the author’s method, we provide quantitative characteristic of the status indicators of conditions of human assets development in rural areas of Stavropol region in the form of individual components and we made their ranging for year that revealed the periods with the most favorable and most unfavorable conditions for human assets development. A forecast of its development is made and a system of measures aimed at the development of human assets in rural areas and adjustment of the trend planned is proposed.
