Summary. The paper presents the studied effects of the peat-based humic fertilizer Gumostim at concentrations of 0.001% and 0.002% on the growth and development of virus-free in-vitro potato plants of two varieties (Yubilyar and Antonina) cultivated in plastic boxes with a peat substrate. The data on the growth of virus-free in-vitro plants of test varieties during the adaptation to the soil in various containers are provided. The research was conducted in 2015 by the Siberian Research Institute of Agriculture and Peat. The object of the research was 28-day regenerated potato plants improved by the apical meristem method in combination with thermotherapy. Foliar feeding with Gumostim at the concentration of 0.001% performed twice with an interval of 5 days caused the growth acceleration of the Yubilar variety: the stem length increased by 25-68%, and in the control the increase was 9-34%. The foliar feeding of the Antonina variety did not show any statistically significant difference. The adaptation of the improved in-vitro plants to the soil in plastic boxes, trays for seedlings, and peat pots did not show any statistically significant difference between these container options in terms of length of the plants. Trays for seedlings did not ensure the full development of plants at later stages of cultivation. Taking into consideration this factor, as well as the cost of the containers and the peat substrate, peat pots were found to be the most attractive option (the cost of growing per 10 plants amounted to 172 rubles 45 kopecks for boxes and 111 rubles 40 kopecks for peat pots).
