Summary. The aim of this study was to determine the economic damages from undue slaughter of cattle reacting to tuberculin in the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic in 1989-2013. The types of economic damage caused by nonspecific response to tuberculin in tuberculosis free farms are analyzed in the work. The total economic damage was determined as the sum of the individual types of losses; the damage per one animal – as the ratio of the sum obtained to a number of animals with the reaction to tuberculin. The calculations were done using an average regional price of livestock products during 2013 to make it comparability. In different years the amount of economic damages depended mainly on the number of animals reacting to tuberculin. The greatest economic damage was noted in 1989-1992 and 2001-2002. In general, there is a tendency of reduction in the total economic damage from the undue slaughter of productive animals since 1989 because of decrease in the cattle population reacting to tuberculin. The economy of animal husbandry of the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic lost about 17,500 tons of milk, 5,800 head of litter siаnce 1989 from unjustified slaughter of reacting to tuberculin cows from tuberculosis free farms in terms of natural indices. From each animal with positive reaction to tuberculin, which early dropped out of the herd, it is received less 1197 kg of milk of the basic fattiness and 0.4 head of litter.
