Alexander V. Korshunov
A.V. Korshunov was born on 1 August 1938 in the village of Shuvary, Kadoshkinsky district, the Mordovian ASSR. He graduated from the Penza Agricultural Institute (1962). Doctor of Agricultural Sciences (1990), Professor (1991), Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences (1999), Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences (2014). He is a prominent scientist in the field of development of ecologically safe adaptive technologies for potato cultivation. He worked as an agronomist of the collective farm in the Kulunda steppe (1962). Research fellow of the Mordovian agricultural experimental station (1963–1964). Post-graduate student, junior research fellow (1965–1969), academic secretary (1970–1976), head of division (1977–1993), deputy director (1994–1995), director (1996–2004), since 2004 – a chief research fellow of FGBNU “A.G. Lorkh All-Russian Research Institute of Potato Farming”.
He scientifically substantiated the complex of agro-practices for managing the volume and quality of potato yield. He developed specialized crop rotations, including with the use of alternative methods. He determined rational terms and rates for the use of organic and mineral fertilizers, ensuring stable yields of environmentally safe long-keeping production. He carried out profound studies of potato root system as an organ of absorption and synthesis. He developed methods for managing the content of nitrates in tubers.
He was awarded the medal “In Memory of the 850th Anniversary of Moscow”. It was published about 300 scientific papers.

Article reviewing in Achievements of Science and Technology of AIC
1. The publication reviews all materials coming to the editorial board, corresponding to its subject matter, for the purpose of peer review. All reviewers are acknowledged experts on the topic of peer-reviewed materials and have publications on the subject of the article being reviewed during the last 3 years. The reviews are kept in the publishing house and in the editorial office for 5 years.
2. The specialists worked in the same research or higher educational institutions, where the work is executed, are not assigned to the peer-review.
3. Referees are informed that the manuscripts sent to them are the private property of the authors and relate to information, which is not to be made public. It is prohibited to make copies of articles by referee for their needs.
4. Reviews are confidential. Author of the reviewed manuscript can acquaint with the review.
5. The confidentiality compromise is possible only in the case of statement by the referee about the unauthenticity or falsification of the materials, presented in the manuscript.
6. The editors of the publication send copies of the reviews or motivated refusals to the authors of the submitted materials and also undertake to send copies of the reviews to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation in case of receipt of the corresponding request to the editorial office.
7. If there are comments in the review, the manuscript is sent back to the author for a revision. In this case the date of the return of the revised manuscript is the date of entering of the manuscript to the Editorial Board.
8. In the case of disagreement with referee opinion the author may appeal by sending a reasoned answer to the Editorial Office. The manuscript will forward either to the additional review or to the Editorial Board for a decision.
9. The decision about the expediency of publication after review is made by the Editor-in-Chief or by the Editorial Board, if it is necessary.

Achievements of Science and Technology of AICis a theoretical and research and practice journal, which publishes the information about the developments of scientists from agrarian research and higher educational institutions, new engineering and technologies, applied in the agrarian industry, economic interrelations in the country under conditions of all forms of property.
The journal was founded in 1987, issues 12 times in a year with volume 5-7 p.s. by the size 60x90 1/8. Summaries of articles are published in abstract journals on agriculture and biology, and they are also written in the bibliographical base Agris.
The two-year impact factor of the journal in RSCI in 2015 (recent figures) is 0.698. In the total rating SCIENCE INDEX of RSCI in 2015 it was the 75th, in the themes on agriculture and forestry it was the 6th.
For the publication it is accepted experimental and theoretical articles, brief communications and reviews on modern scientific achievements in different branches of the agroindustrial complex on the following branches of sciences:
