Abstract. The service area of the state station of agrochemical service “Kulundinskaya” included 13 administrative districts of Altai Krai, located in its western part. On the basis of soil and climatic conditions, the territory is divided into two sub-zones: West Kulunda (Burlinsky, Slavgorodsky, German National, Tabunsky, Kulundinsky, Klyuchevsky, Mikhailovsky, Uglovskiy districts) and East Kulunda (Blagoveschensky, Suetsky, Rodinsky, Khabarsky, Volchikhinsky districts). The service area is 2,489,300 hectares of agricultural areas, including 1,672,600 hectares of arable land; 20,000 hectares are irrigated. Hayfields (138,100 ha), pastures (547,700 ha) and idle lands (130,900 ha) occupy considerable area. The purpose of the research was to analyze the regulations of changes in the main agrochemical parameters of arable soils in the service area. The work is based on the data of six cycles of continuous agrochemical soil survey (1968–2016). For the years of the research, a stable average weighted content of organic matter in the range of 2.9–3.4% was observed in the arable lands of the zone. According to the results of the last completed cycle of the agrochemical survey (2006–2016), the weighted average content of mobile forms of phosphorus was 108.6 mg/kg, of mobile forms of exchange potassium – 207.0 mg/kg. The total area of soils with the acidic reaction of soil solution amounted to 89,800 hectares or 6.1% of the surveyed arable land. Among them 4,500 hectares are strongly and medium acid, 85,400 hectares are slightly acid.

Keywords: fertility; mobile forms of phosphorus; mobile forms of exchange potassium; organic matter; soil acidity; chestnut soils; southern chernozem.
