MATHEMATICAL MODELING OF THE PROCESSES OF THRESHING AND SEPARATION OF GRAIN IN A TWO-STAGE THRESHING COMBINE

Abstract. The process of harvesting, which must be carried out with minimal losses and high quality when threshing plants, plays a major role in increasing the gross yield of soybean grain. Great opportunities to reduce damages and losses of seeds are laid in the creation of harvesting machines and advanced technologies of threshing, separation and transportation. The threshing and further separation of soybean grain depend on many factors, including the length of the deck. However, a reliable assessment of the effect of the length of the deck of the threshing-separating device of a two-stage threshing combine on its threshing and separating ability has not been carried out up to the present day. To solve this problem, the article presents mathematical models that allow to generally describing the process of threshing and separation of soybean seeds under two-stage threshing. Their solution, using experimental data and the method of successive approximations, allows determining more accurately the coefficients of threshing and separation of grain. In this case, the length of the threshing-separating device of the combine is taken into account, and its influence on the qualitative indicators of the threshing apparatus of a two-stage threshing combine is estimated. Based on the foregoing, the process of threshing and separation of seeds through the grates of the deck and the intermediate beater can also establish a unified probabilistic process under unchanged operating conditions and adjustments of the threshing device. The solution of the mathematical model makes it possible to substantiate the rational scheme of the device for cleaning, separation, transportation and selection of the biologically valuable and high-quality soybean seeds into a separate bunker already when harvesting with a two-stage threshing combine, without additional postharvest treatment.
