Abstract. We studied the influence of camomile extract on the productive quality of young rabbits and determined its optimal dosage. The experiment was carried out in an animal farm of Kemerovo State Agricultural Institutes in 2018. According to the principle of pair-analogs, three groups of Californian rabbits, 6 animals in each, were formed: a control group and two test groups. From the age of 40 days, the animals of experimental group I, in addition to the basic diet, were administered orally dry camomile extract at a dose of 1 g per head per day; animals from test group II received dry camomile extract at a dose of 2 g per head per day. The dosage was calculated on the basis of the content of flavonoids in the extract at the level of 1%. The duration of the experiment was 20 days. The best result was achieved in experimental group I. At the end of the experiment in test group I the average body weight was 2,760 g, which vas higher by 160g, or 6.1%, than in the control. In test group II, the gain was 60 g or 2.3%. Daily live weight gain for the entire period was 13.5 g in test group I, which was higher by 7.5 g, or 55.6%, than in the control group. In test group II, the increase above the control group was 3 g, or 50.0%. Slaughter yield of meat of 1 carcass in test group I was 47.5%, in test group II it was 47%, which was higher than in the control, by 2.5% and by 2.0%, respectively. Profitability was respectively 65.7%, 70.9%, 67.4%.
