Abstract. The paper presents the conditions for the digital transformation of Russian agriculture, justifies the urgency of combined efforts of the state and agribusiness, formulates the typical problems of the agricultural business in the transition to new digital products and technologies, which are grouped into several blocks. It gives proposals on the content of a digital platform for Russian agriculture, which can be implemented both by public funding and at the expense of agricultural business under the terms of the concession. Functional blocks of the platform include subsystems of data collection, storage and processing, intelligent data analysis and research, predicting and modelling industry indicators, financial planning, state support of agricultural activity at the federal and regional levels. The information about the resource objects, raw materials and products, productivity growth in the agricultural enterprises, the growth of agricultural investment in the purchase and development of digital products and technologies, the number of retrained and competent to work with digital products and technologies experts on agricultural enterprises, etc was proposed to be used as the criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of the industry digitalization. Specialists of federal and regional authorities designing digital platforms for agriculture and other industries can use the information in practice. Also, it can be used in the commercial sector for the development of agricultural marketplaces and other information systems for the industry.
