Abstract. Digitization is one of the main global technological trends of the present, the influence of which is rapidly spreading to the agro-industrial complex. The studies were conducted to develop science based system for the support of judicious choice of highly adaptive technologies for the cultivation of major crops for different conditions of the European part of the Russian Federation. It was a closing stage in the technological development of crop products cultivation, which involved summarizing of recommendations for the rational use of processing methods and the scientific foundations of the formation of resource-saving technologies, as well as the creation of expert systems that select the agrotechnologies optimal for given soil-climatic conditions. The support system was applied to 8 crops (wheat, barley, oats, maize, rye, buckwheat, pea, millet) the most common in European Russia according to the census of 2016. The analysis and summarizing of long-term and short-term field experiments on the development and optimization of technologies or certain methods of cereal crops cultivation were carried out for 8 regions (North, Northwest, Central, Volga-Vyatka, Central Chernozem, North Caucasian, Middle and Lower Volga regions). The structure of the problem-oriented support system data base for judicious choice of highly adaptive crop cultivation technologies included source (input) information blocks, regulatory information and calculation algorithms. The regulatory information block included 6 main criteria determining the efficiency and resource-saving capability of agricultural technologies: living labour costs (mhrs), fuel and oil costs (kg), need for fertilizers (kg of primary nutrients) and pesticides (L or kg), facilities performance (ha/h or t/h), and electric power demand (kWh). The regional registers of crop cultivation technologies can be used when filling regulatory information unit and determining criteria values. Computational algorithms unit enabled judicious choice of the adaptive technology for the crop cultivation (for specific conditions), and determining reference economic and energy efficiency of agrotechnologies.
