Abstract. The study aimed to monitor economically significant diseases of tomato culture in the Krasnodar Territory and to find new sources of tomato resistance to the most harmful types of pathogens. A phytosanitary survey of tomato plantings was conducted in the field in the Krasnodar Territory in 2018–2019 against a provocative infectious background. Collection tomato samples (172 mutant lines) were placed in randomized blocks in triplicate, 10 plants per plot with a planting pattern 1.5 m x 0.75 m. The records were kept from the appearance of the first signs of diseases. According to the results of phytosanitary monitoring in 2018–2019, plants were damaged by Alternaria alternata (Fr.) Keissl., Phytophtora infestans, Fusarium sp., Verticillium sp., Aspergillus niger Tieghem, tomato mosaic virus, and Cladosporium fulvum Cooke. The most harmful were A. alternata and P. infestans. Immunological analysis of mutant lines under laboratory conditions made it possible to isolate resistant and relatively resistant genotypes. Lines 17, 40, 159, 418, and 916 demonstrated the lowest susceptibility to A. alternate. The leaf blade was affected by 4.1–16.1%. Line 159 showed resistance to the potato races of P. infestans, and was also weakly affected by tomato races (the diameter of the lesion was 2.3 mm and 1.7 mm, respectively) and A. alternata (the radius of necrosis was 5.3 mm). Differences between mutant tomato lines in parameters determining the resistance or susceptibility of genotypes to A. alternata and P. infestans races (radius and diameter of necrosis) were insignificant.

Keywords: tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.); pathogens; Alternaria alternata; Phytophtora infestans; sources of resistance.
