Abstract. The studies were carried out in 2019-2022 in the Kursk region to develop a model of a decision support system for the rational use of natural resource potential in the agrolandscapes of the Central Сhernozem region. A structural-functional scheme, algorithms and standards have been developed for ranking arable lands according to their productive potential, the suitability of territories for growing various crops, the priority and order of soil fertility regulation, the level of application of economically justified doses of mineral fertilizers and ameliorants for acidic soils of the Central Chernozem Region. The initial data are spatially coordinated parameters of the relief, climate and soil, planning and cartographic materials, boundaries and basic linear elements of the territory. The basic elements of the model are the following blocks: relief assessment, including slopes, exposures, heat supply, erosion; comprehensive assessment of soil quality; assessment of the productivity of arable land, including an analysis of the climate-provided and possible crop yields, considering the climate, topography and soil quality. A reference database adapted for digital processing has been developed. It contains the biological characteristics of 30 major agricultural crops, as well as characteristics of soil cover parameters. On the basis of the developed model, an analysis of the territory of the research and production unit No. 2 of the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution "Kursk FASC" (Medvensky district of the Kursk region) was carried out using the QGIS 3.16.16 software. The territory has upland and slope type of terrain, slopes up to 3º (92.2%) prevail, of which upland lands – 23.04%, moderately erosive – 68.18%, medium erosive – 7.35%, represented by typical and leached chernozems. The slopes of the northern directions account for 34%, the southern – 24% of the total area. The redistribution of hydrothermal resources in the study area determines the variation in the climatic potential of productivity from 4.30 to 6.25 thousand grain units/ha. The change in agrochemical parameters is accompanied by a variation in the possible productivity of arable land from 3.72 thousand grain units/ha on the southwestern slopes up to 6.20 thousand grain units/ha in the northeast.
