Abstract. The research aimed to study the effect of the Enterococcus faecium ICIS 96 strain on the physiological state of quails and changes in blood parameters. The work was carried out in 2022 on Phoenix quails. The birds of the experimental group from the day old, in addition to the main diet, daily received a suspension of Enterococcus faecium ICIS 96 culture with a cell concentration of 1 × 109 per 1 ml at the rate of 0.1 ml per 1 kg of live weight. The duration of the experiment was 42 days. Haemoglobin concentration at the age of 42 days was 179.33±22.12-183.00±21.93 g/l, with an upper limit of standard of 120 g/l. The content of total protein in the blood serum by the end of the experiment in the quails of the experimental group was higher than in the control group by 26.8%, however, the values of this indicator remained within the physiological norm and amounted to 47.2±1.2 g/l and 37.2±0.9 g/l, respectively. In the birds of the experimental group, there was a slight decrease in the activity of aspartate aminotransferase by 5.4% and an increase in the activity of alanine aminotransferase by 6.73%, compared with the control. The concentration of glucose in the blood of quails of the experimental group was higher than in the control group by 82.7%, triacylglycerols – by 63.7%. The content of calcium and phosphorus in the blood serum of birds of the experimental group was significantly higher compared to the control group, by 45.2% and 86.1%, respectively. The results of the research confirm the possibility of using the Enterococcus faecium ICIS 96 culture as a potential component in the composition of probiotic preparations for poultry farming.
