Summary. A level of cow herd reproduction depends to a large extent on the spread of reproductive organ abnormalities. Under conditions of a cattle breeding farm was carried out a rectal examination of Black-and-White cows not coming in heat during more than 45 days after calving, or after 2-3 infertile inseminations. The examination has shown that main causes of infertility are hypofunction of the ovaries, endometritis, chronic subinvolution of the uterus, anovulatory degeneration of the ovaries, persistent yellow body, ovarian cyst as well as combinations of all the diseases with the 45 % predominance of ovarian hypofunction in the structure. The on-farm experimental trialing of the homeopathic preparation ovarinin developed by us on the basis of widely used medicinal components has shown its high efficacy at treating ovarian hypofunction in cows exceeding that of widely used preparation E-selenium by 20%. Moreover, the carotene content in the morphological composition of blood after using experimental and control preparations was observed to increase 2-4 times.
