Summary. The analysis conditions of the flax industry for the purpose of revealing of the reasons of low competitiveness of domestic fibrous production with use of a method of the system analysis is carried out. Results of researches VNIIL are generalised, spent in the conditions of the central nonchernozem zone of Russia and the measures directed on reception of a high-quality fibre are offered. It is shown, that for last decade there was a reduction of the areas of fibre flax more than in 2 time, volume of development of a flax fiber – 1,6 and of seeds – 2,5, release of linen fabrics more than in 3,0 times. Principal causes of a crisis situation the flax industry are: low level of intensity of cultivation and flax processing, deficiency of circulating assets, the high prices for means of production and low – on fibrous raw materials. For the decision of the designated problem wide introduction of new highly productive variety of flax with high quality of the fibre, zonalno-adaptive technologies of primary (elite) seed raising and cultivation of the culture, including use as predecessors viko-ovsjanoj of mix and white mustard on a green forage instead of grain, difficult fertilizers and humic the preparations, processing of flax by protectively – stimulating substances in a composition with highly effective herbicides for decrease in their norm of expenses and reception ecologically pure production; realisation of measures of the state support of the flax industry.
