Summary. The main achievements and results of selection work on summer barley conducted in Krasnoyarsk agriculture scientific research institute are reflected in article. A task was to analyse the influence of weather conditions on productivity of barley of a competitive variety trial. Complex assessment of cultivar and selection lines in a competitive variety trial in 2011-2013 allowed to mark out 8 highly productive samples: Abalak, Buyan, Olenyok and breeding lines T 65-3189, T 66-3194, U 27-3593, Y 30-3624, U 49-3795. These samples in a changing climate of Middle Siberia region are of practical interest for the production. It was shown that formation of productivity results from manifestation of different elements of efficiency – in damp years (2011) due to number of shoots r=0,796±0,010 and number of plants before harvesting r=0,551±0,010. In 2013 due to number of plants before harvesting r=0,409±0,020 and tilling capacity r=0,277±0,020, number of grains of the main ear r=0,401±0,020, mass of 1000 seeds r=0,397±0,020, specific productivity cenotic r=0,747±0,020. In the drought conditions of 2012 the individual elements of productivity had no significant influence on the yield. The reserches revealed the leading breeding structure elements of barley harvest that can be the basis for selection in breeding for yield: increased synchronous tillering, grain weight from one plant and specific cenotic productivity. Further development of the breeding program with spring barley in terms of global climate change in Eastern Siberia, including Krasnoyarsk region, will focus on improving the resistance of culture to diseases and pests, drought, acid soils, lodging, improvement the reflection to high agronomic backgrounds and, as a consequence, increase the yield and quality of grain.
