Summary. To improve the efficiency of biotechnical measures to regulate reproductive function requires a permanent record of the state of the reproductive activity of livestock, ie effective monitoring, as well as the study of the causes that can help reduce the reproductive status of the cows. Reasons for the decline of reproductive status for each period of development of livestock industry are characterized by certain features and research in this direction is always relevant. In this context , the aim of our research was to study the reproductive activity of cows at various technologies of content. The characterization of the reproductive status of the population in the two housing systems were determined , guided by the generally accepted practice in animal production methods. The studies used the reports of Livestock , Ministry of Agriculture of the Irkutsk region, as well as materials obstetric and gynecological check-ups. It is established that the state of reproductive function in cows in a harness and loose housing is at a low level. Pathologies of the reproductive organs are the most common endometriosis and ovarian hypofunction . When loose- mode content of cows with abnormalities of the ovaries and uterus , and reaches approximately the same 56.3 % and 59.3 %, respectively. In the structure of the most common ovarian pathologies hypovarianism (24.3 – 49.4 %) and persistent corpus luteum (17.4 – 26 %). Hypovarianism recorded twice as often in cows in tied housing, and endometritis in 2.3 times in groups of cows in loose housing. The number of inseminations spent per insemination (insemination index) is not correct and describe the low level of reproductive function of cows at the fastened and loose- how of content. Service period in cows surveyed households exceeds the normalized rate (60-80 days) in the 1.5-2.
