Summary. For the prevention of liver dystrophy hepatoprotektor «Heprim for pigs» was developed. The complex composition of the drug can not only take prophylactic measures for hepatosis but also affect the blood forming organs and natural resistance. The aim of the study was to determine the morphological and functional state of pigs with hepatosis and examine the influence of the preparation on some hematological and immunological parameters in the prevention of hepatosis. «Heprim for pigs» was administered percutaneously once in a dose of 0.2 ml/kg. Blood samples of animals were taken monthly for hematological and immunological analyses, pathomorphological tests of biomaterial and postmortem diagnosis of liver state were carried out. During the observation period 3 heads died with the diagnosis of hepatosis in the control group; in the experimental group one pig died with a diagnosis of gastroenteritis. Degenerative liver damage in animals is characterized by impaired clinical status and extensive lesions not only of the organ, but also of the stomach and intestine. Histological examination of hepatosis is a mixture of protein and fat dystrophies complicated with disorders of blood circulation and necrosis of damaged tissues. Application of «Heprim for pigs» provides a stable level in the normal range of hematological parameters throughout the entire period of observation, in the control group their changes, and especially the high level of hemoglobin (from 9.5 to 13.4 %) against the background of low number of red blood cells (from 3.6 to 36.7 %) is the evidence of intoxication and subclinical hepatosis. The studied preparation makes it possible to increase the tension of humoral indicators of natural resistance: bactericidal activity of blood serum over the period of observation on 3.5…9.7 %, lyzozyme activity - by 2.1…13.3 %. With post-mortem diagnostics of liver of animals from the experimental group, compared with the control one, the signs of dystrophy were not found. During the experiment, the weight of pigs of the experimental group increased 9 times, of the control group – 8 times.
