Summary. The article describes the study results on the influence of different doses of natural ameliorant “Khotynets zeolite” against the background of mineral fertilizers (N90P90K90) on physical parameters of soil, productivity and quality of tubers of Udacha potato variety under conditions of Republic of Tatarstan. The experiment was carried out on the experimental field of Kazan State Agrarian University; the soil was gray forest with medium loamy granulometric composition. The depth of the arable layer was 26…28 cm, pH of salt extract was 5.6, the content of humus (by Tyurin method) was 3.8 %, the content of mobile phosphorus and exchange potassium (by Kirsanov method) was 167…185 and 210…230 mg/kg of soil, respectively. The scheme of the experiment included the following variants: without fertilizers (control); N90P90K90; N90P90K90 + zeolite in doses of 300, 600, 900 kg/ha. Additional application of zeolite in the dose of 900 kg/ha with mineral fertilizers reduced the soil density at seedling stage, in comparison with control, in the horizon 0…10 cm up to 0.06 g/m3; 10…20 cm – up to 0.05 g/m3; 20…30 cm – up to 0.08 g/m3; and to harvesting period depending on the horizon the difference was 0.7…0.8 g/m3. In this variant the leaf area increased 1.28 times and the content of heavy metals in tubers decreased: lead – by 28.0 %; zinc – by 33.9 %; copper – by 9.1 %; arsenic – by 30.5 % and cadmium – by 50%. The highest yield of food potato (29.87 t/ha) was obtained in the variant with application of mineral fertilizers and zeolite in the dose of 900 kg/ha. The increase in yield over the control in this variant was 12.60 t/ha. Application of zeolite in the dose of 600…900 kg/ha against the background of mineral fertilizers increased starch content by 0.43 %, dry substance – by 0.77…0.9 3%, nitrate amount reduced by 5.56…8.26 mg/kg.

Keywords: potato, zeolite, mineral fertilizers, crop yield, tuber quality, dry substance, starch, nitrates.
