Summary. The results of the analysis of correlations between SDS-sedimentation and main characteristics of grain quality of durum winter wheat are considered in the article. For this purpose, 100 varieties and breeding lines of durum winter wheat selected by ARRIGC and from other regions were investigated. The experimental material was divided into 4 groups, according to the volume of sediments measured with the help of scale of relative gradation, developed for this crop in ARRIGC: 1 – samples with very strong gluten (40 ml and more), 2 – with strong gluten (35…39 ml), 3 – with medium gluten (30…34 ml), 4 – with weak gluten (29 ml and less). The most of studied cultivars and breeding lines belonged to the groups with strong (43 %) and middle gluten (38 %). The share of samples with very strong gluten was 9 %, with weak gluten – 10 %. Correlation analysis revealed the presence of significant positive connections between SDS-indices and grain vitreousness (r = 0.43*) and grain-unit (r = 0.51**), and significant negative correlation with IDG (r = -0.39*). A close positive correlation between grain-unit and vitreousness (r = 0.60**) was found. Any correlations with other traits (productivity, protein and gluten content) were not found. SDS-sedimentation correlates closely with rheological properties of dough. Correlation analysis showed the significant positive connection between the trait and time of dough formation (r = 0.48*), stability (r = 0.50*), resistibility (r = 0.58**), elasticity (r = 0.48*), total valorigraphic number (r = 0.60**) and total farinographic number (r = 0.63**), and a significant negative correlation with dilution of dough (r = -0.49*). In turn, the assessment of the overall farinogram closely correlate with such an important integrated indicator as valorigraphic assessment (r = 0.83***).
