Summary. The investigation was carried out during the harvesting of white lupine Dega under conditions of Tambov region. The dimensional characteristics of grains were the following: length was 9.58 mm; width was 9.12 mm; thickness was 4.42 mm. A classification of types of mechanical damage of grains is presented. During the harvesting the moisture of grains should be 11...20 %. The factors that affect the quality of threshing of white lupine are described. The setting of the threshing and separating system of the combine harvester KZS-1218 «Polesse GS-12» was analyzed. The dependences of seed damage on the rotation speed of the threshing drum and the gap between the threshing drum and concave were determined. Peripheral line speed of the threshing drum has the greatest influence on the seed damage of white lupine. With the increase in the rotation frequency by 100 rpm from 450 to 550 rpm, damage raised almost 4 times from 1.5 to 5.5 %. The optimal rotation speed of the threshing drum for harvesting of white lupine by the harvester KZS-1218 «Polesse GS-12» is 450 rpm. To ensure the permissible value of seed damage and reduce the losses of white lupine grain by unbonded grain the gap at the outlet of the threshing machine should be on level 18 mm.
