Summary. With the age in any mechanism significant changes, connected with its aging, occur; the causes of which are very diverse. It is the inevitable and irreversible in the time process of its gradual transition in the lower quality state. The article presents the information about the change in the indices of reliability and repairability of tractors (mean recovery time) before the repair and during the interrepair period, which should be considered as the result of their aging. Data on the ratio of the resources of units and components indicate the decisive role of the factor of aging, but resources be can greatly affected by assembly technology and, most importantly, running-in of components. The degree of aging of the machine can be estimated by the reduction or resource of elements, mean time before failure, productivity of the machine and others by way of the aging coefficient (Ca). It shows how many times the resource tj of the replacing component is less than the life expectancy tn of the original component; or mean time to failure of the aging machine is less than the new one, or the complexity of the restoration of the old machine is more than the new one. After determination of the aging factor of replacing parts for the considered period of time, we built a function of aging f(t). The aging process of agricultural machinery was assessed by time and moment of resistance to unscrewing of the threaded joints without coverage with the service life from 0.2 to 4 years. According to the obtained distribution functions with the increase in the service life the mean time rises, and the moment of resistance to unscrewing approaches the maximal value. With the period of service of more than 4 years the number of non-separable bolt joints increases, which are destroyed at the moment of loosening, and in this case service time grows. The dynamics of aging factors of threaded connections can be represented as a quadratic function.
