SPECIAL FEATURES OF ROBOTIC TECHNOLOGY OF MILKING OF HIGHLY PRODUCTIVE COWS IN MODERN COMPLEXES

Summary. The use of robotic milking technology in modern complexes creates milking conditions physiologically close to natural ones. However, not all animals are suitable for milking with the robot; therefore up to 15 % of cows are rejected during formation of the herd. There cows do not correspond to the requirements, which include such indices as rate and duration of milking, the uniformity of the development of udder lobes and others. With the average single duration of cow stay in the milking box with the robot of 7.67 min, it can milk 7.82 cows in an hour. If we accept the operating time for 19…21 h in a 24 hour period, the robot is capable to carry out from 148 to 164 milkings in a day. On the basis of the fact that the number of milkings of a cow on the average is 2.6…2.9 times in a 24 hour period, one robot can attend to 57…63 cows. The robotic milking technology has both the essential advantages, and certain shortcomings. For example, preparatory premilking operations with its usage on certain cows can amount to 2 min 34 s on the average, that from the physiological point of view is a deviation from the standard which is equal to one minute.
