Summary. In the process we have studied the elements of influence of seeding rate and nitrogen fertilizer on yield and seed quality of spring oats in southern Chernozem zone of Russia. Field experiments included testing 5 varieties of culture, 2 of which hulless. Field experiments were conducted from 2012 to 2014 on leached Chernozem, which had a slightly acid reaction of soil environment (pHsol. 5,1) with the content of humus in the soil of 6.0%, total nitrogen – 0.36% and mobile forms of phosphorus and potassium – 165 and 284 mg/kg soil respectively. So, increasing the seeding rate in the varieties of oats from 4.5 to 5.0 million germinating seeds per 1 ha contributed significant (LSD05 0,12) productivity of 0,13-0,76 t/ha the Best among the studied varieties of oats were filmy grade Krechet. On the productivity of oats Krechet was not inferior to standard – grade Horizon. Filmy sort Eclipse was characterized by less pronounced adaptive capacity and its yield was lower than the grade Gyrfalcon and the Horizon. Increasing the seeding rate from 4.5 to 5 million units/ha of seeds germinating and the application of mineral nitrogen has provided a significant gain in yield varieties of oats 0.06-of 0.87 t/ha Increased the seed of spring oats in the southern part of the Central non-Chernozem zone of the Russian Federation economically viable agricultural practice. In our experiments, the seeding rate of 5 million units/ha contributed to the increase in the number of productive stems of oats per unit area of crops 5-15 PCs/m2. Of studied varieties of oats highest average yield formed a sort Gyrfalcon (3.04 t/ha). In oats varieties Eclipse she was 0.72 t/ha less. The application of mineral nitrogen in comparison with the control significantly (LSD05 = 0,12) increased the yield of the studied of 0.76 t/ha. According to the results of the study of varieties 0.13 conducted in 2012-2014, the obtained experimental data to develop an improved zonal technology of seed production of spring oats.
