Summary. The paper declares the growth rate of labor efficiency in agriculture is low in Siberia and regional agriculture experiences reducing of capital productivity and production capital coefficient. The main reasons causing reducing meat production in the region are considered as follows: young stock dropped per 100 cows is low and contains 70-80 cows in Siberia; significant loss of cattle (2.8 – 3.2 % recently); insufficient and inefficient feeding; bad keeping conditions; and low applying of innovations. On average, feed consumption pro hundredweight of milk and meat was 130 feeding units and 1470 correspondently in Siberian Federal District in 2013. It is higher the standard rate on 22.2 % and 30 % and resulted in low unit costs. The author points out reducing of agricultural machinery fleet, which leads to breaking the periods of field works, their bad quality and unit costs supplement. The tractor fleet in Siberia was reduced on 13 018 units that is 24 % during the last 5 years and harvester-threashers were reduced on 5 193 units that is 28 %. The paper admits low applying of fertilizers which is revealed in applying of 8-9 fertilizers pro ha of cropland and applying of 0.4-0.5 tons of organic fertilizers; it doesn’t allow growing crops by means of intensive technologies and being competitive at the market. The author supposes, agricultural development in Siberia occurs when agribusiness is strictly changed and innovations and research developments are widely applied. Poultry farming and pig breeding perform as an example of sustainable and efficient development provided by wide applying of innovations.
