Summary. The article presents the features of the reaction of inguinal lymph nodes of guinea pigs during experimental tuberculosis and under the influence of complex microbial immunomodulator KIM-M2 at different multiplicities of its introduction. We selected 20 animals and formed four groups to study the effect of this drug on the regional lymph nodes of guinea pigs experimentally infected with Mycobacterium bovis strain 14. In guinea pigs experimentally infected by pathogenic mycobacteria without preliminary administration of KIM-M2 (control group) pathomorphological changes in the inguinal lymph nodes corresponded to the generalised form of tuberculosis with affect index according to A.I.Togunova on 30 days equal to 5.67. The triple injection of the immunomodulator in increasing doses with short intervals between injections inhibited the formation of antituberculous immunity (affect index was 5.0). The changes were characterized by extensive necrosis in the node with connective tissue capsule forming around it, at that the lymphoid follicles virtually did not differentiate, and the bulk was composed of growing connective tissue, proliferating epithelioid and giant cells, not delimited by lymphocytes from the surrounding healthy tissue. The protective function of the body is more expressive with double and single administration of the drug, which is indicated by the increase in proliferative processes of epithelioid cells and cells of the reticuloendothelial system, as well as the lack of extensive necrosis in lymph nodes (affect index was 3.8 and 3.75, respectively). Thus, there was proved the positive influence of KIM-M2 on regional lymph nodes of guinea pigs with experimental tuberculosis.

Keywords: lymph node, guinea pig, tuberculosis, pathomorphological and histological studies.
