Summary. Scientists of Tatarstan Research Institute of Agriculture and Kazan Federal University developed new biological preservative with enzymatic activity for improving the quality of alfalfa dried silage consisting of lactic-acid bacteria Lactobacillus plantarum 52, Lactobacillus lactis, Lactobacillus buchneri and propionic bacteria Propionibacterium frendeureichii 11, as well as of enzyme preparation Bioxil – Ferbak-Sil B-1 (patent application №2014142843 from October 23, 2014). The research was carried out to estimate its efficacy in comparison with other preparations (chemical AIV 2000 Plus; biological Biotrof No.2, BakSiz, universal ferment; biological preparations with enzymatic agents Silos Fidtek) and the control without preservations. The study was carried out under laboratory conditions in 2012-2014. The content of nutrients in the feed, prepared with new biological preservative, exceeds the control and the variant with preparation BakSiz by 2.9 and 1.0 %, respectively. The conservability of crude protein in the feed in the case of its application is lower than with the use of the chemical preservative AIV 2000 Plus by 1.5 %. The concentration of crude and neutral-detergent cellulose is less compared with the control by 7.4 and 15.5 %, respectively. At preservation of grasses by biological preservative Ferbak-Sil B-1 the increase in the total number of lactic-acid bacteria was noted (38.8•10E6 CFU/g vs. 9.81•10E6 CFU/g in the control). Regarding the ammonifying bacteria the inverse dynamics was determined. The greatest reduction of their population (15.2 times) was identified in the silage with the biological preparation Biotrof No.2 and with preparation containing biological and enzyme components Silos Fidtek F18 and Ferbak-Sil B-1 (6.1…5.1 times). The additional advantage of ensilage of dried legumes with the proposed preservative is that it costs 42 times lower in comparison with the chemical preparation and 13.5 times lower than the closest analogue and is set at the level of biological preservatives.
