Summary. The purpose of the research was to determine the influence of preparation Cherkaz on preservation capacity, egg laying qualities, average weight and the category of eggs of laying hens. The experiment was conducted in 2011-2014 at OOO “Lipetskptitsa” in Lipetsk region on 4 groups of birds of Highsex Brown cross. We studied the influence of three dosages of the preparation: 110 mg/kg (the second test group), 120 mg/kg (the third test group) and 130 mg/kg of feed (the fourth test group). The obtained results were compared with the control group, in which hens ate the main ration without any additives. The total amount of eggs in the fourth test group was higher on 680 eggs, than in the control one; egg production per the hen housed and mean hen was higher by 13.6 and 12.37 eggs, correspondingly. Weight of eggs of hens increased with age and achieved its maximum at the age of 63…64 weeks; the difference with the control in the second test group was 1.79 %, in the third – 2.86 %, in the fourth – 4.97 %. The maximal egg mass per mean laying hen was characteristic for the group, in which poultry was fed by preparation Cherkaz at the dose 130 mg/kg of mixed feed. It was 21.1 kg, which was higher than in the control by 2.12 kg (P > 0.99). In this group the highest fraction of eggs of the premium and choice categories was registered; it was higher by 15 % than in the group, which did not eat the studied additive.
