Summary. In 2012-2014 on the experimental field of the agronomic department of Kazan State Agrarian University the investigations were carried out to increase the productivity of sunflower and efficacy of its cultivation on the basis of application of biological preparations under conditions of the Republic of Tatarstan. The soil of the test plot was gray forest; humus content (according to Tyurin) in the topsoil was 3.5-3.7% (low); content of mobile phosphorus (according to Kirsanov) was 145-155 mg/kg, of exchange potassium–108-120 mg/kg of soil; pH of salt extract was 5.8. The preceding crop was spring wheat. There were four replications in the test; the arrangement of plots was systematic. The discount area of the plot was 44 sq. m (2.2 × 20 m). Biological preparations Albit (polybetahydroxybutyric acid), Extrasol (Bacillus subtilis Ch-13), Rospochva (bio-organic fertilizer), Mizorin (Arthrobacter mysorens), Flavobacterin (Flavobacterium sp. JT 30) and sunflower variety Rodnik (P 453) served as materials for investigation. The presowing treatment of seeds was conducted with the following rates of application: Albite–0.35 l/t, Extrasol and Rospochva–1 l/t, Mizorin and Flavobacterin–0.3 kg per 1 hectare rate of seeds. Application of Extrasol and Mizorin contributed to increase in productivity over the control (2.02 t/ha) by 0.78 and 0.61 t/ha, correspondingly, and rise of fat content in achenes up to 44.4 and 42.6% (41.5% in the control). With the application of Albit the decomposition of linen fabric, put in the topsoil, was 52%, of Rospochva–39%, Extrasol–32%, Flavobacterin–24%, Mizorin-6% only. Under conditions of the Republic of Tatarstan the presowing treatment of seeds by biological preparations influences on the sunflower productivity, quality of obtained production (oil content increases) and microbiological activity of grey forest soil.

Keywords: sunflower, biological preparations, yield, oil content, vegetable oil, and microbiological activity of soil.
