Summary. By-products of potato starch production – pupl and potato juice are usually used as feed additives in liquid, boiled or dry state after additional treatment. In order to concentrate native potato juice thermal coagulation, vacuum-evaporation and drying are used. Membrane processes are more advanced technologies, which exclude thermal denaturation of biologically active substances and energy consumption is 3-5 times less. The processing are carried out in two stages: the first is with ultrafiltration membranes and the second stage – with nanofiltration and reverse osmosis membranes (selectivity by dry substances, proteins, carbohydrates and salt depending on the type is 70-80 and 99.3-99.8%). It allows using the filtrate in recycle of potato starch plant instead of water. There was developed a method of pulp treatment by cellulases and amylases to improve the nutritional value. Food Institute of the RAMS has proved the high nutritional and biological value of dry potato protein produced in the All-Russian Research Institute of Starch Products and recommended to use it as protein substitute or fortificant. The developed universal line to process coproducts of potato starch production, designed for production of feed, food additives and biological preparations, is compatible with cormophyte biomass processing line to produce grass flour and two food additives. The production of feed and food biologically active substances from grass biomass is based on the direct connection of agricultural and food technologies in a single complex. The combined unified-flexible line can be operated all year long, switching from processing of coproducts into grass biomass and back. All equipment necessary to realize developed technology can be produced at domestic machinery plants.

Keywords: potato starch production, by-products, grass biomass, membrane processes, feed and food additives, compatible technologies.
