Summary. The features of Darcy’s formula application for the analytic description of filtration process of high-filled potato slurry in technology of starch extraction in stationary and centrifugal filtering stations, which is one of the central one, limiting the operation of the technological line, are described in the article. The changes in Darcy’s formula for the analytic description of filtration processes in incompressible and compressible isotropic sediments were stated. The feasibility to present the coefficient of filtration as its function from complex of separate coefficients of filtrate properties such as viscosity and porous medium as transparency, porosity and translucency was shown. An addition of the translucency coefficient into the formula enables to estimate the average “true” velocity of filtration process in the porous medium, which corresponds to the character of the hydrodynamics process. The complexity of the experimental determination of the coefficient was overcome by its substitution for the porosity coefficient according to the theorem of functional connection between them. The type of functional link was adopted for isotropic sediments of polydimensional and statistically ordered isotropic structure of the porous medium. The coefficients of porosity and translucency were combined by the well-known theorem of functional link between them through porosity; determination method for it is standard and simple including the presence of solid, impassable pores. The method to determine the numeric value of translucency coefficient is carried out using simple equipment such as cylindrical Darcy’s column. The transformed Darcy’s formula is useful for analytical description of hydrodynamic problems of filtration in stationary filtering and centrifugal stations. Finally, Darcy’s formula was presented considering experimental values of coefficients for potato slurry.
