Summary. The distribution of dry mass of plants of early ripening varieties of spring soft wheat sowing after bare fallow and cereal forecrop was studied in Novosibirsk region. The weight of plants grown after fallow predecessor was higher relative to wheat plants cultivated after cereal forecrop. The amount of precipitations significantly influenced accumulation of dry biomass of plants. The fraction of shoot weight was higher in 2014 compared to 2010 and 2011, which were characterized by the deficit of rainfall in the second half of the growing season. Under favorable weather conditions plants formed more powerful leaf apparatus after bare fallow than after cereal forecrop. Under drought conditions (2010 and 2011) during the period of grain forming the coefficient of realization of the ear (CRE) decreased, and it was strongly differentiated among the varieties. The highest value of this index in the tests with different forecrops was noted for the line Tulun 15 x Rechka and varieties Pamyaty Vavenkova and Tujmaada. During flowering for both forecrops it was often registered the negative correlation between yield and ear fraction in the total weight of shoot (for fallow in 2014 r = -0.72; for autumn plow in 2010 r = -0.83, p is less 0.05) and between yield and ratio of ear weight to leaves weight (for fallow in 2010 r = -0.57, in 2014 r = -0.55, for autumn plow in 2010 r = -0.68, p is less 0.05). The number of grains per an ear negatively correlated with the fraction of the stem (for fallow in 2011 r = -0.62, in 2014 r = -0.67, for autumn plow in 2011 r = -0.54, p is less 0.05). During the period of wax ripeness it was revealed a direct correlation of CRE from the weight of grain in an ear and grain size, especially for the bare fallow (for fallow in 2011 r = 0.58, in 2014 r = 0.74, for autumn plow in 2010 r = 0.59, p is less 0.05).
