Summary. The analysis of domestic and foreign forms of cooperation and agroindustrial integration of small farms is given. In Russia large distribution networks and processing plants do not work with the small farms (SF), where it is concentrated 93 % of potato crop area and up to 90 % of field vegetables. Based on SF it is advisable to arrange specialized agricultural production and trading cooperatives (APTC), and on the basis of medium and large agricultural enterprises, occupying only 7-10 % of potato and vegetable crop areas, – agro-industrial enterprises (APE) and associations (APA) of holding type. The highly mechanized storage complexes from the light metal constructions (LMC) should become the centers of these APTCs, APEs and APAs. Arranging of such enterprises with a closed circuit of production, storage, waste-free processing and marketing of potato and vegetables in retail chain stores, allows reducing the losses of agricultural products up to 50 %. In Russia the hundred thousands of interested by government commercial private farms, cooperative farms and small agricultural associations with potato yield of 40-45 t/ha, as that of foreign farmers, could be covered by cooperation. There are considered 13 factors providing additional profit and effect, which owners of SF and the founders of APA could receive, using the facilities of highly mechanized storage complex with capacity of 3, 5, 10 and 20 thousand tons made of LMC on the examples of agricultural farm “Dmitrovskie ovochshi” in Moscow region, agroindustrial holdings in Leningrad, Tyumen, Sverdlovsk and other regions.

Keywords: potato, vegetables, agricultural organizations, small farms, cooperation, storage complexes, holdings.
