Abstract. The purpose of the research was to study the influence of foliar applications of complex liquid mineral fertilizer Nutri-Fait PK on the formation of oat yield at the cultivation against programmed backgrounds of mineral nutrition. Investigations were carried out in 2013-2015 in Tver State Agricultural Academy on the sod medium-podzol sandy loam soil. The design of the experiment included the following variants: the background of mineral nutrition (factor A) – the control (without fertilizers), the calculated doses of NPK on the crop yield of 3.5 t/ha (N(53-59)P0K(60-63)) and 4.5 t/ha (N(90-96)P0K(90-94)); foliar application of Nutri-Fait PK (factor B) – without fertilizing, spraying with solutions at concentrations of 0.2 % (0.5 l/ha), 0.4 % (1.0 l/ha), 0.6 % (1.5 l/ha), 0.8 % (2.0 l/ha), 1.0 % (2.5 l/ha). The foliar application was carried out at the 23d microphase according to the code BBCH (tillering phase). The highest crop yield in the experiment (4.68 t/ha) was obtained against the background N(90-96)P0K(90-94) at the foliar application with Nutri-Fait PK (0.8 %). During the years of the research, the crop yield in the variants with different NPK backgrounds without fertilizing was below the programmed one by 0.45 t/ha (NPK for 3.5 t/ha) and 0.58 t/ha (NPK for 4.5 t/ha). Optimization of plants mineral nutrition due to the foliar application of Nutri-Fait PK increased productivity in the best variant (concentration 0.8 %) against the background without fertilizers by 0.70 t/ha (40 %), against the background of N(53-59)P0K(60-63) – by 0.72 t/ha (24.0 %), against the background of N(90-96)P0K(90-94) – by 0.76 t/ha (19.4 %). It provided the yield of grain at the level of 2.45, 3.92 and 4.68 t/ha, that was higher than the programmed level by 8.9 % (NPK for 3.5 t/ha) and 4.0 % (NPK for 4.5 t/ha). Foliar applications promoted yield increase due to improvement of photosynthetic activity of plants in crops, the strengthening of the productional process (the efficiency of photosynthetically active radiation in the control increased by 0.23 %, in the variant N(53-59)P0K(60-63) – by 0.27 %, N(90-96)P0K(90-94) – by 0.22 %) and optimization of the yield structure.
