Summary. Reconstruction of basic parts significantly reduces the cost of repairing machinery. We suggest a way of reconstruction of basic parts using the oversize method. Matching bores are rebored in three oversizes according to the levels of wear. The processed bore is equipped with a new bearing, the outer collar of which has been covered with a polymeric coating of the adequate thickness providing the immobility of the junction. As a result of the theoretical research, we received the model of the formation of a uniform polymer coating on the external surface of a rotating cylinder. The setup and technological equipment for the application of the polymeric coating from F-40S solution elastomer onto the outer surface of a rotating bearing were designed. The setup includes a screw-cutting lathe 1K62, a centering assembly jig, a tray and a magnetic holder MV-V. The holder is designed to support the tray with the polymer solution and move it up and down while the bearings are being dipped into the solution. The jig is for the centering and assembly of bearings. When assembled, it is inserted into the broach holder that rotates it while the coating is being applied. The 1K62 lathe is equipped with a frequency converter INNOVERT of the H3400A05D5K type which allows a stepless regulation of the spindle rotation rate from 0 min-1. It is presented the results of the experimental studies on the shrinkage of F-40S elastomer, regime parameters of detail dipping in its solution, the dependence of geometrical parameters of the formed polymeric coating on the elements of the application regime and adhesion of polymeric coatings from the solution of F-40S of various viscosity. Allowable thickness of the polymeric coating from F-40S elastomer on 209 bearing, ensuring trouble-free operation of the restored seating surface under the cyclic radial load of 20 kN is 0.1 mm.
