Abstract. The investigations were carried out to determine the influence of the specific composition of perennial grasses on regrow capacity of mowing mixtures under conditions of Krasnoyarsk forest-steppe, as well as the peculiarities of productivity formation in one-species and mixed crops of perennial legume-grass cultures. The work was carried out in 2010–2016 in the experimental field of the department of plant cultivation of Krasnoyarsk State Agricultural University. We determined the yield of green mass, the harvest of dry matter and energy production of the first and the second hay harvests in the period of ear formation-budding. Mixtures of perennial leguminous grasses had the advantage of productivity in comparison with single-species cereal (timothy) and legume (alfalfa) controls both in single-cut and double-cut use for the green mass during the interphase period “ear formation-budding”. In the first cut, leguminous grasses excelled the second cut in yields of green mass, energy productivity and harvest of dry matter, with the exception of alfalfa and a grass mixture: awnless brome 65% + timothy 30% + clover 65%. In the case of two-cut use, the mixtures “awnless brome 65% + timothy 30% + alfalfa 65%” and “awnless brome 65% + timothy 30% + sainfoin 65%” were distinguished by productivity. The grass mixture “awnless brome 65% + timothy 30% + alfalfa 65%” on the total over two cuttings provided the yield of the green mass of 19.97 t/ha, the harvest of dry matter of 5.3 t/ha, the energy productivity of 55.6 GJ/ha. The grass mixture “awnless brome 65% + timothy 30% + sainfoin 65%” on the total over two cuttings provided the yield of the green mass of 18.56 t/ha, the harvest of dry matter of 5.1 t/ha, the energy productivity of 46.9 GJ/ha. The regrow capacity of all studied variants was high and varied from 52.7 to 102.0%. According to the value of this index under conditions of the Krasnoyarsk forest-steppe the best mixtures were “awnless brome 65% + timothy 30% + clover 65%”, “awnless brome 65% + timothy 30% + sainfoin 65%” and “awnless brome 75% + timothy 40% + alfalfa 75%”. The regrow capacity of the mentioned mixtures was 102.00%, 80.90% and 79.95%, respectively.

Keywords: regrow capacity; perennial legume-grass mixtures; first cut; second cut; yield of green mass; harvest of dry matter; energy productivity.
