Abstract. The article presents the results of an evaluation of the influence of silver nanoparticles water dispersion on the concentration of lead, cadmium, and nickel in the blood and milk of lactating cows. The daily dose of silver nanoparticles was 6.61 mg per 1 kg of live weight; the water dispersion was received with drinking water. The work was carried out in 2015–2016 in Chelyabinsk region on the cows of Black-and-White breed. Two experimental groups (n = 10) were formed according to the principle of close analogs taking into account age, live weight, physiological state (lactation and pregnancy period). The animals from the first control group were kept on a standard feeding diet balanced on the main nutrients and biologically active substances. For the cows from the second test group, aqueous dispersion of silver nanoparticles was added to the water for 30 days. It was prepared by the chemical method and stabilized with sodium citrate; the dose was 6.61 mg per 1 kg of live weight. In corn silage and stillage with straw, the parts of the cow diets, the concentration of lead, nickel and cadmium was, respectively, 4.42 ± 0.74 and 2.71 ± 0.38; 1.99 ± 0.11 and 2.03 ± 0.14; 0.43 ± 0.04 and 0.65 ± 0.02 mg/kg; in the blood it was from 0.15 ± 0.02 to 0.16 ± 0.03; from 0.08 ± 0.03 to 0.09 ± 0.03; from 0.03 ± 0.01 to 0.035 ± 0.02 mg/l; and in the milk it was from 0.07 ± 0.02 to 0.08 ± 0.03; from 0.009 ± 0.0004 to 0.01 ± 0.0003; from 0.018 ± 0.01 to 0.015 ± 0.02 mg/l. When silver nanoparticles were added to drinking water, lead concentrations in blood and milk of cows decreased 1.30 and 1.40 times, nickel – 1.17 and 1.15 times, cadmium – 3.75 and 2.83 times, respectively. We recommend using silver nanoparticles for medical purposes with a limited period of use to reduce the level of toxic elements in organisms of animals and to increase the ecological safety of milk.
