Abstract. We examined the influence of seed and crop treatment by Nagro bioorganic fertilizer on the mass fraction of protein in the grain and the falling number. We used Vlada and Tetra Korotkaya winter rye varieties. The investigations were carried out in 2015–2017 in Kuznetsk forest-steppe. The soil was leached medium-thick medium-humus heavy loamy chernozem. The experiment included six variants. The first one was the treatment of seeds by a bio-energy preparation and crops at the phase of tillering by a universal biofertilizer and the bio-energy preparation. The second variant was the treatment of seeds by the bio-energy preparation, the first treatment during vegetation – at the tillering phase by the universal biofertilizer and the bio-energy preparation, the second one – at the earing phase by the universal biofertilizer. The third variant was the treatment of seeds by the bio-energy preparation, the first treatment during vegetation – at the tillering phase by the bio-energy preparation, the second one – at the earing phase by the universal biofertilizer. The fourth option was the treatment during the vegetation at the tillering phase by the universal biofertilizer and the bio-energy preparation. The fifth variant included the treatments during vegetation: the first one – at the tillering phase by the universal biofertilizer and the bio-energy preparation, the second one – at the earing phase by the universal biofertilizer. The sixth variant included the treatments during vegetation: the first one – at the tillering phase by the bio-energy preparation, the second one – at the earing phase by the universal biofertilizer. The control was without treatments. Seeds were treated with the bio-energy preparation in the dose of 1 L/t, crops – with the universal biofertilizer in the dose of 1 L/ha and with the bio-energy preparation in the dose of 0.2 L/ha. For Vlada variety, the largest increase in protein content relative to the control (by 0.37%) was observed in the 6th variant. In the Tetra Korotkaya sowing, the 4th, 5th, and 6th variants were more effective, the excess with respect to the control averaged 0.44–0.58%. The energy cost (according to the protein content) of the different variants of the experiment varied in Tetra Korotkaya variety from 0.89 to 1.08 GJ/t (in the control it was 0.93 GJ/t), in Vlada variety – from 0.90 to 1.14 GJ/t (0.94 GJ/t). According to the falling number, in Vlada variety the 3d variant was the best, which exceeded the control by 13.3%, while in Tetra Korotkaya variety – the 2nd variant (by 20.9%).
