FORECASTING THE DEVELOPMENT OF CRITICAL TECHNOLOGIES MARKETS IN THE CROP SECTOR UNTIL 2030

Abstract. Scientific and technological forecasting of the crop sector requires, in addition to determining the list of critical technologies, identification of market niches for their implementation, on the basis of which, it becomes possible to specify research and development that will be promising in the future. By critical technologies we mean a complex of interbranch (interdisciplinary) technological solutions that create the prerequisites for the further development of various thematic technology areas, have a wide potential range of competitive innovative applications in different sectors of the economy and make the largest contribution to the implementation of priority areas for the development of science, technology and techniques. Critical technologies are breakthrough innovations that can have a wide scope of application and are capable of leading to a wide range of results not related to any particular application of this technology. By defining the list of critical technologies, it becomes possible to identify the priorities of the scientific and technological development of the industry for the medium term. The research was conducted on the principle of “from markets to technologies”, because it allows you to identify the most critical technologies in the future. In other words, we first identified technology markets that will appear in the near future, and then the most promising technologies and areas of research and development. The article presents an analysis of the most important market niches for Russia, products and services that can have a radical impact on the dynamics of global and domestic markets. Areas of scientific research and development are considered, and an assessment of their level in our country is made, based on the questionnaire of experts.
