Abstract. It was investigated the influence of phytobiotic properties of medicinal plants on hematologic and immunobiological properties, as well as the dynamics of live weight of Cobb-500 broilers. Chickens were divided into experimental and control groups of 10 heads each; the observations were carried out in 2017 from the 1st to the 50th day of life of birds. Birds received complete granulated feeds “Start”, “Growth” and “Finish” (BEST, Russia). The experimental group also received infusions of chamomile pharmacy, astragalus, stevia, Jerusalem artichoke, common wormwood, eleutherococcus extract, ramson infusion; the control group received glucose, keproceryl, ascorbic acid, Ganaminovit, Enroflon, Tiamulin, Aminovital and Rex Vital. In the test group chickens, the number of erythrocytes increased from (2.82 ± 0.07) x 10E12 pcs/L in the first day to (3.94 ± 0.43) x 10E12 pcs/L by the 30th day, in the control it grew from (2.81 ± 0.05) x 10E12 pcs/L, to (3.62 ± 0.25) x 10E12 pcs/L, respectively. Lysozyme activity in the chickens from the experimental group increased from 1.5% on the 15th day up to 2.2% on the 30th day, in the control it raised from 1.2% to 1.8%, respectively. The bactericidal index of neutrophils at a 120-minute exposure with a test culture increased from 87.6 to 89.3% in the experimental group and decreased from 83.0 to 79.3% in the control group. The absolute increase in live weight in the experimental group was (1991.20 ± 4.84) g, which is higher by 10.50 g compared to the control; the feed consumption in the experimental group per 1 kg of gain was 1.42 kg, which is 0.22 kg less than in analogues from the control group. The obtained results testify to the positive effect of phytoprophylactic measures on the growth and development of chickens.

Keywords: phytobiotic; phytoprophylactic; poultry farming; broiler poultry farming; astragalus; chamomile pharmacy; stevia.
