Abstract. The occurrence of kappa-casein and prolactin genotypes in Black-and-White cows was monitored, and the different genotypes were characterized for their biological and productive qualities. The studies were carried out in Tyumen region in 2010–2015 (n = 100). A-alleles of genes of kappa-casein and prolactin had the highest frequency of occurrence (0.825 and 0.735, respectively) in comparison with B-allele (0.175 and 0.265, respectively). The greatest frequency of occurrence was characteristic for genotypes CSN3(АА) – 0.70, PRL(AA) – 0.49, PRL(AB) – 0.49, and for complex genotypes CSN3(AA)PRL(AA) – 0.35 and CSN3(AA)PRL(AB) – 0.33. Antigenes G’’ and Y’ were not detected among kappa-casein heterozygotes (CSN3(AB)), unlike homozygotes (CSN3(AA)). Carriers of genotype PRL(AA) had a higher occurrence of antigens Q’ and Y2 than heterozygotes. On average for two lactations, CSN3(AA) homozygotes had the highest milk yield – 7689 kg, which was more by 858 kg than that of CSN3(BB) homozygotes. The milk yield of heterozygous individuals was 7693 kg. On average for three lactations, cows with genotype CSN3(BB) exceeded their peers in the mass fraction of milk fat (3.98%) by 0.11–0.13%. Animals with genotypes PRL(AA) and PRL(AB) on average for three lactations exceeded the cows with genotype PRL(BB) in milk yield by 1403 and 1066 kg, respectively. Average milk yield of PRL(BB) cows was 6446 kg. Animals with genotype PRL(BB) had the greatest the content of milk protein (3.17%), which was more by 0.03% than in PRL(AA) homozygotes. The duration of the service period of individuals with genotypes CSN3(BB) and PRL(BB) was significantly less than that of A-allele cows by 53–85 days. Animals with genotype CSN3(AB)PRL(AB) were noted for the longest productive life (1671 ± 159 days) and lifelong milk productivity (34593 ± 3572 kg); they surpassed CSN3(АА)PRL(АА) cows by 380 days of productive life and 8415 kg of milk yield.
