Abstract. It is described the causative agent of the disease, the ways of its spread, the symptoms, the prevention and control measures. Mortality from this disease among buffaloes is 2 times more than in cattle. In Azerbaijan, the disease is observed mainly in spring and autumn. With proper use of the pasteurellosis vaccine, the duration of immunity is 8 months. Good results are achieved by combining penicillin and streptomycin. At the same time, penicillin alone does not have a therapeutic effect.
