INFLUENCE OF FERTILIZER DIFFERENT DOSES ON THE CONTENT AND MIGRATION OF NITRATE NITROGEN IN AGRICULTURAL LANDSCAPES OF THE UPPER VOLGA REGION

Abstract. In the Upper Volga agroecosystems, the vertical migration of nitrate nitrogen in the profile of sod-podzolics and gray forest soils was studied depending on the level of anthropogenic load. In the gray forest medium loamy soil, there was a decrease in the migration activity of N-NO3 with an increase in the intensity of agrogenic load from the zero to high-intensity organomineral level of technology. Reducing the loss of N-NO3 determines the more efficient use of nitrogen by plants with increasing intensity of technology and increasing productivity of the agrosystem. In the agroecosystem with the high-intensity organomineral anthropogenic load, the nitrate content was at the level of a natural ecosystem and amounted to 0.9 mg/kg. On sod-podzolics sabulous soils with an increase in the intensity of the anthropogenic load, the loss of mineral nitrogen and its accumulation in the underlying soil layers were more pronounced. This may be due to the lighter granulometric composition of soil sites. The nitrate content in the 0–300 cm layer of the intense background of the sod-podzolics sabulous soil was 3.1–4.1 mg/kg and 1.4–1.9 times exceeded the natural analog. A significant amount of nitrates was at the depth below 100 cm. This, in the first place, may be due to the light granulometric composition of the soil and underlying rocks. At the zero level of intensity, the distribution of nitrate nitrogen in the studied profile was at the level of the natural analog and exceeded its content only by 10%. A further increase in the intensity to the normal level caused an intensive movement of nitrates and their accumulation at the depth of 100–300 cm, where their content increased 2.5 times in comparison with the virgin area. In general, in the layer of 20–300 cm, the content of nitrates increased in comparison with the soil of the virgin analog by 80%. The use of moldboard ploughing on sod-podzolics soil contributed to the increased migration of nitrates down the profile in comparison with nonmoldboard cultivation.
