Abstract. The presented scientific research is based on an analytical assessment of the technical provision of agricultural enterprises in the Kemerovo region. Its urgent is determined with the need for systematic and effective work of agricultural producers, which largely depends on the level and quality of technical equipment. This is due to the technological development of the agricultural sector and increased competition. Agricultural enterprises in the region are experiencing a shortage of machinery and equipment, and the state of the existing technical park does not satisfy the key needs of the agricultural sector. The degree of its physical wear and tear is at a level exceeding 30%. There is an annual reduction of machinery and equipment; for the period from 2012 to 2017 the average value of the technical disposal was 10.44%, which led to an increase in the load on equipment. The number of seeding machines decreased the most – by 346 units (from 615 units in 2012 to 369 units in 2017). Assessment of the agricultural enterprises of the Kemerovo region according to the level of their provision with technical equipment indicates a rather difficult situation and limited technical potential. The production load increased from 257 hectares in 2012 to 468 hectares in 2017 per tractor, from 461 hectares in 2012 to 515 hectares in 2017 per combine harvester. This analytical research based on systematic statistical data has revealed the need for updating agricultural equipment in the Kemerovo region.
