Abstract. The article presents a new design and principle of operation of two technologically related and autonomously working machines. One of them is the installation for fractional grinding and production of mixtures of concentrated grain feeds or their mixtures; the second is an installation for the preparation of feed-drug mixtures, in which fine or medium fractions are used as filler for the production of primary premixes. In the installation of feed-drug mixtures, the primary premix is produced using a serial shredder-mixer, for example, laboratory mill ML-1; a single dose portion is up to 500 g; the ratio of the therapeutic drug (medicine) and the filler is 1:1; the treatment time is 45 s. These installations can be used in farms with a need of 5–20 tons of feed per day. In the structure of the installation of fractional grinding it is advisable to use a vertical hammer crusher with replaceable cylindrical sieves with the height of 200–250 mm, the inner diameter of the cylindrical sieve of 500 mm, and the gap between the sieve and the ends of the hammers of 1-2 mm. The number of hammers is determined based on the fact that the sum of their thickness should once overlap the height of the perforated part of the sieve. The installed capacity of the electric motor to drive the hammer crusher is determined empirically and is 5-6 kW/t. The vibrobatcher is powered by an electric motor with a power of 0.2–0.3 kW, a frequency of 1500 rpm. A method for calculating the performance of fractional grinding installations and the production of concentrated mixtures, which allows you to choose the most appropriate equipment option that ensures maximum efficiency of its operation, taking into account the loss of working time for various reasons, is proposed.
