Abstract. This study was aimed at investigating the effect of Active Mix and Ecostimul-2 feed additives under their combined and separate use on the productivity of newly calved cows. The study was carried out in 2018 in the Amur region (Russia). The empirical study lasted 100 days after the first calving of cows – hybrids of Russian Black-and-White cows and Holstein stud bulls. According to the method of analogue pairs, 4 groups (1 control and 3 experimental) comprising 8 heads each were formed. Animals in all groups were fed a forage mixture. Animals in 3 experimental groups additionally received the experimental additives Active Mix and Ecostimul-2 (per head per day): 1st group – 300 g of Active Mix, 2nd group – 300 g of Active Mix and 300 mg of Ecostimul-2, 3rd group – 300 mg of Ecostimul-2. The inclusion of 300 g of Active Mix in the animal diet increased the milk yield with the basic fat content by 10.5% compared to the control group. The use of 300 mg of Ecostimul-2 increased the milk yield by 23.8%. Upon the combined use of the additives under study, the antagonistic interaction of the additives was observed. In this group of cows, the dairy productivity was similar to that in the control group, while the milk fat was lower than baseline values. In experimental group 3, the use of Ecostimul-2 led to a lesser decrease in the live weight of cows – 29 kg against 37 kg in the control group. This value was 35 kg and 49 kg in the 1st and 2nd experimental groups, respectively. The recommendation is made to introduce the Ecostimul-2 feed additive in the amount of 300 mg per head per day in the diet of newly calved cows.
