Abstract. This study aimed to develop recommendations on the introduction and application of new technologies and equipment in beef cattle breeding, which might ensure the most efficient use of the productive potential of beef breeds and the reduction of labour-intensive work. The objects of the study were two cattle-breeding farms in the West Kazakhstan (Partnership with limited liability (LLP) “Ural Agricultural Experimental Station”) and Kostanay (farm “Individual Entrepreneur Amanbekova A.E.”) regions. According to the study results, the following equipment was purchased: locks, scanner readers, smart RFID tags, electronic scales, electric fences, electric heated self-drinkers, a wind-solar power station, as well as automated installations for preparing and distributing feed, and providing electricity for various technological, veterinary and livestock management operations. The total cost of the production potential in the Ural Agricultural Experimental Station, LLP, amounted to 89,662.00 thousand tenges, of which 74,450.00 and 15,212.0 thousand tenges were own and borrowed funds, respectively. In the Amanbekova farm, these values were 108,862.0, 93,650.0 and 15,212.0 thousand tenges, respectively. Therefore, the capital-labour ratio in the Amanbekova farm grew by 54.99%, amounting to 36,287.33 thousand tenges, and the capital-area ratio increased by 16.24%. In the Ural Agricultural Experimental Station, LLC, the growth of these values amounted to 50.54% and 20.43 %, respectively. The planned volume of product sales for the year at the Amanbekova farm is 25.53 tons of meat, at the Ural Agricultural Experimental Station, it is 27.16 tons of meat. The installation of new equipment will reduce its cost by 675.45 thousand tenges and 710.22 thousand tenges, respectively. Additional capital investments to increase the level of automation of technological processes will pay off in 2.6 and 3.4 years.
