Abstract. The purpose of the research was to study the influence of the seeding rate and the sowing method on the yield and quality of the grown seeds of the early ripening soybean variety Kruzhevnitsa in the Amur region. The work was performed in 2018–2019 in the Amur region. The design of the field experiment provided for the study of the following treatments: sowing method (factor A) – row (row spacing of 15 cm), wide-row (row spacing of 30 cm and 45 cm); seeding rate (factor B) – 200 th pcs, 400 th pcs, and 600 th pcs of viable seeds per hectare. On average, over the years of the research, the cultivation of soybean Kruzhevnitsa at the seeding rate of 600 th pcs/ha, regardless of sowing method, led to an increase in the quality of seed material. In the studied options, the germination energy and laboratory germinability of progeny seeds varied on average over two years from 85% to 89% and from 90% to 94%, respectively. An increase in the values of these indicators was noted in the option with a seeding rate of 600 th pcs/ha for all sowing methods. The mass of 1000 seeds was weakly dependent on the cultivation methods and varied from 123 g to 127 g. Despite a decrease in the number of beans per plant, the yield of seeds in the option with a seeding rate of 600 th pcs/ha was the highest in the experiment. Changing the sowing method from wide-row to row one led to an increase in the yield of the studied soybean variety by 6–14%, regardless of the seeding rate.
